Tau ga sih? HIMATIKA ITS juga mewadahi minat dan bakat warga dan calon warganya di bidang seni dan olahraga loh! Salah satunya dengan mengadakan departemen Sport and Art Development di HIMATIKA ITS, atau yang biasa dikenal sebagai SAD. Nah, departemen SAD ini nantinya yang bertanggung jawab untuk mengadakan latihan dan bahkan perlombaan di bidang-bidang tersebut. Program kerjanya adalah COMPAS (Mathematics Competition of Art and Sport). Yuk, lihat rangkuman COMPAS 2024 kemarin!
COMPAS adalah kegiatan perlombaan minat dan bakat antar angkatan yang diselenggarakan oleh Sport and Art Development Department HIMATIKA ITS untuk Mahasiswa Matematika ITS angkatan aktif program sarjana. Kegiatan ini merupakan Big Event dari Sport and Art Development Department HIMATIKA ITS. COMPAS diselenggarakan pada 29 Mei - 22 Juni 2024. Terdapat 7 cabang perlombaan yang terdiri dari 5 lomba cabang olahraga dan 2 lomba cabang seni pada tahun ini.
Perlombaan cabang olahraganya terdiri dari futsal, yang diadakan pada tanggal 11 dan 19 Juni 2024 di Fasor Futsal Outdoor ITS, basket pada tanggal 12 Juni 2024 di Fasor Basket Semi Indoor ITS, dan badminton pada tanggal 9 dan 20 Juni 2024 di Lapangan Badminton De Lano, Marina Emas. Selain olahraga lapangan, ada juga e-sports, seperti Mobile Legend yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 dan 15 Juni 2024 di ruang F109, dan FIFA pada tanggal 16 Juni 2024 di ruang T101B. Untuk lomba di bidang seni, ada lomba fotografi dan tari yang diadakan di depan ruang F101-F102 serta Plaza Matematika, pada tanggal 22 Juni 2024.
Pelaksanaan COMPAS berhasil memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan. Dari 7 cabang perlombaan yang menjadi acuan, COMPAS berhasil menyelenggarakan semua cabang sesuai dengan standar keberhasilan yang ditentukan. Jumlah cabang perlombaan yang diikuti oleh setiap angkatan aktif di departemen Matematika ITS tidak hanya memenuhi tetapi juga melampaui kriteria keberhasilan tersebut. Misalnya, untuk angkatan 2020, standar keberhasilan ditetapkan pada 1 cabang, tetapi pada kenyataannya, mereka dapat berpartisipasi dalam 5 dari 7 cabang yang ada, sehingga melampaui harapan. Sementara itu, angkatan 2021, 2022, dan 2023 masing-masing memiliki target 4, 5, dan 5 cabang. Namun, dalam realisasinya, ketiga angkatan ini mampu mengikuti semua 7 cabang perlombaan, menunjukkan hasil yang melebihi standar yang ditetapkan. Selain itu, kriteria keberhasilan lain menetapkan bahwa rata-rata partisipasi dari 4 angkatan aktif Matematika ITS adalah 20 peserta. Namun, total partisipasi dari keempat angkatan mencapai 161 orang, menghasilkan rata-rata partisipasi 23 orang per angkatan dalam 7 cabang perlombaan. Dengan demikian, COMPAS tidak hanya memenuhi tetapi juga melampaui target keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan.
Tujuan diselenggarakannya Mathematics Competition of Art and Sport (COMPAS) adalah meningkatkan iklim kompetitif dan jiwa prestatif bagi warga dan/atau calon warga HIMATIKA ITS. Harapan setelah berlangsungnya kegiatan COMPAS 2024 ini adalah terciptanya ikatan hubungan yang baik antar angkatan, serta meningkatnya jiwa kompetitif yang sportif setiap angkatannya.
Selamat untuk angkatan 2021 yang telah meraih juara 1, angkatan 2022 yang telah meraih juara 2, dan angkatan 2023 yang telah meraih juara 3. Kami selaku panitia mengucapkan terimakasih untuk angkatan 2020 yang masih antusias untuk mengikuti acara ini. Untuk COMPAS 2025 semoga angkatan 2021 masih tetap antusias seperti angkatan 2020 saat COMPAS 2024 lalu.
