Hello peeps! We’ve finally reached April! It means we are back to bringing you a monthly recap of many fun activities that have been held by HIMATEKK ITS in March, yay! Let’s take a look, shall we? Here we go!

HIMATEKK EXPO

HIMATEKK Expo is an event organized by the Public Relations and Communication Department. This event is to introduce departments in HIMATEKK and existing units in chemical engineering. Participants were given materials about departments in HIMATEKK and existing units in chemical engineering. At the end of the event is displayed video appearance from source HIMATEKK ITS also a door prize at the end of the event.

This event was held on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at 13.00-17.00 WIB and attended by active Chemical Engineering and Food Engineering INDSYS ITS students  with a total attendance of 146 people. The event went smoothly and the participants actively asked questions.

CLUB EXPO

Club Expo is an event organized by the Student Talent and Development Department. This event is to introduce and explain the clubs in Chemical Engineering INDSYS ITS.

This event was held on Sunday, March 6th, 2022 at 09.00-12.40 WIB and attended by active Chemical Engineering and Food Engineering INDSYS ITS students  with a total attendance of 125 people. The event went smoothly and received positive feedback from participants

COMDEV Sharing Session #1

COMDEV Sharing Session #1 is a forum held by the Competency Development Department. This forum is in the form of a sharing session from speaker to participant, and the theme presented in this sharing session is Brighten Up Your Future in the FMCG Industry.

This event was held on Sunday, March 6th 2022. The activity began with an 80-minute material presentation session presented by Arief Rahmatullah and continued with a 40-minute question and answer session with an additional 20 minutes of time in the question and answer session.

Internal Meeting

Internal Meeting is a forum between the directors of HIMATEKK ITS and the student organization in Chemical Engineering INDSYS ITS which aims to facilitate coordination between them in order to create harmony as a support for the success of the activities of both sides. This forum was held on Thursday, 10th March 2022 at 19:30-21:00 WIB, The activity began with the presentation of the timeline and condition of the Unit, Senate, and Student Organization in Chemical Engineering INDSYS ITS. Then, followed by coordination of the timeline between the Unit, the Senate, and Student Organization with the Board of Directors to avoid conflicting schedules. From the Senate, there is no exposure due to the activities carried out in March are only aimed at members of the Senate. From the results of coordination, access to Orange Calendar is needed to facilitate timeline coordination.

Course for Elements 2022

Course for Elements 2022 is an event held by the Student Resources Development Department on Saturday-Sunday, March 12-13th, 2022. On the first day, the activity was opened with submissions and discussions between speakers and participants of activities regarding the material of the Nature of Cadreization, Grand Design Cadreization (GDK), and Communal and Personal Communication. Allocation of material delivery time for 1 hour and continued with a 20-minute question and answer session. On the first day of the Course for Elements 2022, a Pretest activity was held in advance for all participants of the activity to measure participants’ knowledge before participating in this Course for Elements 2022 activity.

The second day of the activity began with the delivery and discussion between the speaker and the participants of the activity regarding the conditioning engineering material specifically for prospective participants of the Instructure Committee (IC) and Mentoring Techniques for Orange Buddy (OB) candidate participants. Allocation of material delivery time for 1 hour and continued with a 20-minute question and answer session. After the material session is completed, participants will fill out the Post-Test to measure the level of knowledge of participants after participating in the material activities at the Course for Elements 2022. At the end of the Course for Elements 2022, a simulation activity was held for all candidates for the 2021 cadreization element as a form of selection for the selection of cadreization elements in 2021.

VISDEV

Village of Society Development is an event held by the Social Development Department on Sunday, March 13th, 2022 at 8.45-11.40 WIB. This event brings activities to improve the welfare of partner villages by applying Chemical Engineering-based knowledge. Other than that, this event is held to evaluate activities and strategic plans that have already been carried out.

This event was attended by people in partner villages and two speakers. Ghifary Muhammad Nugroho is the speaker’s on marketing and branding material. Continued with material from Dr. Lailatur Qadariyah S.T. M.T. about dish soap making demonstration. Overall, this event went smoothly and participants enthusiastically participated in a series of events with quite a lot of people asking questions to the speaker.

OSKP 1

Online Sharing Kerja Praktik 1 : Petrochemical and FMCG Industry is an event held by the Education and Student Prosperity Department on Thursday, March 17th, 2022 at 19.00-21.10 WIB. This event brings material sessions from Sahirah Zahraindy and Miftahul Hidayah to share their knowledge about the Petrochemical Industry. FMCG Industry from Diva Lathifa and Yawo Serge Marcel also share their experiences in preparing for apprenticeship.

Software Improvement : HYSYS

Competency Development Department HIMATEKK ITS held an event named Software Improvement: HYSYS for three days. This year’s Software Improvement theme is Make Indonesia 4.0 by Becoming Chemical Engineers with Mastery of Software a Chemical. HYSYS class is divided into a basic class for the second to third year and an advanced class for the third to fourth year. Basic class held on March 19th-20th, 2022 with two speakers namely Fery Prasetyo S.T. from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) and Evan Grady S.T. from PT Aneka Gas Industri Tbk. The basic class went successfully with 107 participants who actively participated in the simulation session.

On March 27th, advanced class with Annas Wiguno S.T., M.T. lecturer at Chemical Engineering ITS as a speaker. This training is divided into 3 sessions. First, a material presentation that last for 60 minutes. After the presentation session, there is a question and answer session for 10 minutes followed with simulation for 10 minutes.

SCE WEBINAR

Socio – Eco Community Education Webinar is an event organized by the Social Development Department on Sunday, March 20th, 2022 at 14.00-16.30 WIB. This webinar is in collaboration with the community in social and environmental to introduce a social activities environment for HIMATEKK ITS members as an effort to raise awareness about social and environmental life.

This event was attended by two communities, first one is Save Street Child Surabaya community with Advin Mariyono S.ST. as General Coordinator SSCS. The second community is “Sobat Bumi Surabaya” with Mitha Farihatus Safiroh as Head of HR Department Sobi Surabaya. The talk show session lasts for one hour with participants actively participating in a Q & A session.

Orange Tutorial (OT)

Orange Tutor is an event held by the Education and Student Prosperity Department on Friday, March 25th, 2022 at 19.00-21.10 WIB. This event is to facilitate HIMATEKK ITS members who have difficulty in certain courses to be able to discuss from practicing questions, so as to improve the academic ability of these students.

Orange Tutorial started with a material presentation session presented by Ahmad Hisbu Zakiyudin from the Mathematics Department ITS and continued by a question and answer session between participants and tutors.

SCE Action Day 1

Socio – Eco Community Education Real Action Day 1 is an activity which invites HIMATEKK ITS members to go directly to the community environment with some communities that have provided material on Socio – Eco Community Education Webinar. This activity is carried out offline at Jl. Pantai Kenjeran Pesisir Pantai, Kenjeran, Surabaya on Saturday, March 26th, 2022. The activity begins with the opening and continues with an hour long beach cleaning session. This event is assisted by the Department of the Environment Surabaya in the form of borrowing waste baskets and the transportation of waste that has been collected. After the beach clean session, continued with the closing session by giving a certificate and souvenir to the Sobat Bumi Surabaya Community.

Ensight #1

Entrepreneurship Insight # 1 is a webinar entrepreneurship organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Department on Sunday, March 27th, 2022. This webinar brings the theme ‘Engineer Become The Next Millennial Preneur’ with  Reza Aulia Akbar CEO of Science Hunter Indonesia as a speaker. This event talked about an engineer who became an entrepreneur with the aim of increasing the entrepreneurial climate and increasing entrepreneurial insight of HIMATEKK members. Ensight #1 went successfully with a lot of participants participating in the Q & A session.
